You could sense the emotions of a lot of these men about the loss of the steam engine to the diesel. About the average Canadian not really thinking much about the importance of the railroads in their history is so true of the US as well.

When I see the amount of intermodal freight being moved by today's railroads I'm thankful they aren't trucks on the highways of America. Trash trains, tanks, and hoppers keep the cars, homes, industries, and food supply flowing with NO appreciation. Why else would their be so much graffiti and other vandalism to trains?

Well worth watching, for sure!  Brings back some memories for me...I saw a couple of railfans shooting with Argus C3 cameras.  That was my first "real" camera at the time and I still have it (now in a display case).  I just wish I had put it to better use way back then shooting pictures of the trains that were all around me.  I guess I just took them for granted.  Big mistake!
