Any Celebrities on Your Layout?

Sasquatch is on my layout near the fire tower and a camping couple.

Fred and Mary were so surprised, they fell off their log!

I don’t have any figures; but I have buildings and businesses named after people who are celebrities in my life.  
Do they count?

Now, I will post the other celebrity I have in O scale on my layout.

On another Forum thread, I recently posted photos of my Field of Dreams on my layout, including ball players in O scale coming out of the corn field.

Field of Dreams is an movie about the famous baseball player, Joe (Shoeless) Jackson, who was a great player that was banned for life from the major leagues for his alleged involvement with gambling on baseball.

Below is a photo of my Shoeless Jackson. You may not be able to see it, but the figure in the photo below is not only shoeless, he is footless. LOL. That is because the O Scale figure’s foot broke off:

Yes!

The lady in white near the photo center represents my wife who as a girl used the “pocket” of a front yard palm tree like a locker for her jacks and small jewelry while playing with friends in the street.

Arnold, another great topic!  I don’t know the name of the model on this postwar billboard, but she’s definitely a celebrity in the Lionel world!  This has been my favorite billboard since I was about thirteen!

The first celebrity I have is my 5 1/2 year old Son. We lost him in 1976. In 1980 my friend asked me to build a trolley destination for his layout. I built a small park containing a trolley station, burger stand, and rest rooms. I named the park after my son.

I named the burger stand after my wife Isabel.

The park has grown to include a playground, small war memorial; and a miniature golf range.

Nice topic, Arnold. We have Johnny Ramone on my layout practicing a few chords outside of CBGBs before the Ramones opening gig. He’s the punk on the right side of the below pick -

We had a lot of celebrities on our old layout who are now relegated to a box waiting for re-birth. A few included Travis Bickle (Taxi Driver movie), Marylyn Monroe, Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa, the Blues Brothers, and the cast from Lord of the Rings. Many more are buried in Tupperware obscurity at the moment.

I recently showed this on the grandchildren thread. A few Disney Princesses for the princess in my life who helped me build the CandyLand Layout for the Holiday Train Show in our little town. They were from her collection of course. She is now 18; where does the time go? I guess that I need to look for celebrities for my permanent layout under construction.

I'm considering a Metropolis scene.  Figures/phone booth, etc.  I have a Superman figure my grandchildren placed.   Maybe I can expanded on that with Metropolis ?  Menards has a building and go from there.

My wife and I are birdwatchers, and we were very excited to spot (a previously-thought-to-be-extinct) Ivory Billed  Woodpecker...

I’m glad you asked, we have Graceland, home of the King of Rock, Elvis, living on top of my 4th level on “Leapin Larrys Looney Lines Railroad “, actually the Quad L System. Spidey, Buzz and the Scarecrow have all made appearances on my layout.

I have quite a few, some seasonal, that show up on my modules.  My non-Christmas module theme is "cars and vehicles from movies and TV," so I have lots of different celebrities/characters:

Here we have Thelma & Louise cruising past Buddy and Jovie from "Elf":

Next is Sally, Jack Skellington, and Zero from "Nightmare Before Christmas" in front of Drogon from "Game of Thrones":

Here we have Walter White from "Breaking Bad" and B. A. Baracus from "The A-Team":

Next up is Catwoman, Batman, Lilly & Herman Munster, and Grandpa:

This is a busy one, with Queen Elizabeth, Rudolph, Gandalf, Drogon, Harley Quinn, Joker, and an assortment of Minions:

Another busy one here with Doc, Einstein and Marty from "Back to the Future"; Boss Hogg, Rosco P. Coltrane, Uncle Jesse, Luke, Bo, Daisy, and Cooter from "The Dukes of Hazzard"; Al from "Home Improvement"; and Gomez, Lurch, and Morticia from "The Addams Family":

Kids and the young at heart love picking out all the little details in these scenes.  Adding recognizable characters/celebrities to scenes really adds to the fun factor!

Andy, when I saw you ‘liked’ my post, I knew you would have a host of celebrities to share.  I’m planning on seeing them on Saturday!  

Well, on the layout, figures are mostly anonymous, but l'd like to populate it with some railroad and reagonal figures like Otto Mears and Gen. William Jackson Palmer,  the banker Moffat, Unsinkable Molly Brown, the Civil War draft dodger from my hometown who discovered Cripple  Creek, Bob Womack, and others.  But that is way down the to-do list.

My celebrities are early members of our club. When a I made an end of the track building using Ameritowne pieces, I snuck pictures of a few members in the upper windows. I did not tell anyone but once someone spotted their pictures everyone had a good laugh.

They will be there.   I, on the other hand, will only be there for the first hour to hour and half of the show Saturday due to a family reunion picnic in nearby Murrysville for the middle part of the day.

No idea, it was given to me at the Publix bakery one day a few years ago. At the time, I had wondered why anyone would want an ant as a cake decoration!
