Celebrities could be real or fictitious, past or present, so we will have a broad interpretation of that word.

if you have any, you can tell us about them and post photos of them here.

I have at least two celebrities on my layout, and will start us off with one mentioned and shown below.

One celebrity I have is Bob Ross, deceased, who used to have a TV program about painting on PBS. Here he is:

IMG_2878I acquired my O scale Bob Ross from a Cracker Barrel gift shop in East Greenbush, NY in the Albany, NY area a few years ago.

I will post a photo of my other celebrity later on. In the meantime, let’s see what you have.

Very cool posts so far.

Now, I will post the other celebrity I have in O scale on my layout.

On another Forum thread, I recently posted photos of my Field of Dreams on my layout, including ball players in O scale coming out of the corn field.

Field of Dreams is an movie about the famous baseball player, Joe (Shoeless) Jackson, who was a great player that was banned for life from the major leagues for his alleged involvement with gambling on baseball.

Below is a photo of my Shoeless Jackson. You may not be able to see it, but the figure in the photo below is not only shoeless, he is footless. LOL. That is because the O Scale figure’s foot broke off:

Say it ain’t so, Joe!!!

The first celebrity I have is my 5 1/2 year old Son. We lost him in 1976. In 1980 my friend asked me to build a trolley destination for his layout. I built a small park containing a trolley station, burger stand, and rest rooms. I named the park after my son. IMG_2427

I named the burger stand after my wife Isabel.

The park has grown to include a playground, small war memorial; and a miniature golf range.

Arnold, another great topic!  I don’t know the name of the model on this postwar billboard, but she’s definitely a celebrity in the Lionel world!  This has been my favorite billboard since I was about thirteen!

John, I have the same billboard and, of course, it’s also one of my favorites. Will hunt it down, take a photo of it and post it here later on. Arnold

We had a lot of celebrities on our old layout who are now relegated to a box waiting for re-birth. A few included Travis Bickle (Taxi Driver movie), Marylyn Monroe, Pope John Paul II and Mother Teresa, the Blues Brothers, and the cast from Lord of the Rings. Many more are buried in Tupperware obscurity at the moment.

I recently showed this on the grandchildren thread. A few Disney Princesses for the princess in my life who helped me build the CandyLand Layout for the Holiday Train Show in our little town. They were from her collection of course. She is now 18; where does the time go? I guess that I need to look for celebrities for my permanent layout under construction.

He’s our highest tax payer, a true kind and giving Singer…. My first 45RPM record was Hound Dog…. Look up at the top… Great topic @Arnold D. Cribari….IMG_1280IMG_1282

I have quite a few, some seasonal, that show up on my modules.  My non-Christmas module theme is "cars and vehicles from movies and TV," so I have lots of different celebrities/characters:

Here we have Thelma & Louise cruising past Buddy and Jovie from "Elf":

c01

Next is Sally, Jack Skellington, and Zero from "Nightmare Before Christmas" in front of Drogon from "Game of Thrones":

c02

Here we have Walter White from "Breaking Bad" and B. A. Baracus from "The A-Team":

C03

Next up is Catwoman, Batman, Lilly & Herman Munster, and Grandpa:

C04

This is a busy one, with Queen Elizabeth, Rudolph, Gandalf, Drogon, Harley Quinn, Joker, and an assortment of Minions:

c05

Another busy one here with Doc, Einstein and Marty from "Back to the Future"; Boss Hogg, Rosco P. Coltrane, Uncle Jesse, Luke, Bo, Daisy, and Cooter from "The Dukes of Hazzard"; Al from "Home Improvement"; and Gomez, Lurch, and Morticia from "The Addams Family":

c06

Here we have Sam and Dean Winchester from "Supernatural" beside Scooby-Doo and Shaggy:

c07

Next up is Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone with Rudolph peeking around the corner:

c08

And "The Blues Brothers" continuing their mission, with Doc and Marty in the background:

c09

Another one with Doc, Einstein, and Marty:

c10

And another one with Bo, Luke, and Daisy Duke with Doc, Einstein, and Marty in the background:

c11

Here we have a local celebrity -- Noah from Kennywood Park's Noah's Ark fun house attraction:

C12

And last, but not least, "Hero Boy" from "The Polar Express":

C13

Kids and the young at heart love picking out all the little details in these scenes.  Adding recognizable characters/celebrities to scenes really adds to the fun factor!
