I am threatening to get one of the Norfolk Southern versions of the lionchief plus GP20 but can't find any close up views or reviews on the exterior details. I love the lionchief plus system and have an ACL A-A, with no complaints about the exterior. Does anyone have one of these and if so what do you think about the appearance?

Since this particular locomotive isn't available yet, I'm not sure anyone can answer your question.
I've been waiting impatiently for Lionel to release the GP20 LC+ engines.
Heavens, I thought they produced one last year too. I will check that.
It was in the 2014 catalog, I found a pre order sheet from Mr muffin listing delivery in June 2015. Could they be that late?
I checked the other day and it has been moved back to August 2016. I have the BNSF on order. I don't expect it any time this year.
I would look at the LC+ GP7/9 to give you an idea of what to expect. If this engine is anything other than the GP7 with a chopped nose, I will be very surprised indeed.
Yeah, I'm a little miffed that several LC+ releases have been announced and gone to market, yet the GP20's are still vaporware.
Saw the BNSF on EBay that had some good photos. They look really nice.

That's exactly what it is.
These look like the other gp's they have made before lionchief which is low in detail but very rugged grown ups and kids won't have to be to careful handling them, being lionchief they should run very well and will be a great addition to the hobby
