NOTHING in the Tallahassee area, don't even waste your time there. There's only a Hobbytown and not a very good one, either. Hasn't been a good hobyb shop in that town since, well, ever to be honest. I grew up there and one of my best friends still lives there and he's long given up on a hobby shop that's worth anything coming in.

As for PC, I'm not sure. You might want to do some checking for the Fort Walton/Destin area as well as Pensacola or Mobile. Might be some decent hobby shops to the West of where you're going. But there's nothing to the East.

What p51 said. Except for some starter sets, the Hobby Town seems to be largely divesting itself of its o gauge stock. The Big Bend Model Railroad Association will have a show at the North Florida Fairgrounds in Tallahassee on Saturday, June 27. It's pretty much the only thing worth mentioning. Club activities are the only other outlet in Tallahassee (check their website). Not sure what PC might have.

Wouldn't waste my time with the club either. I was one of the founding members and had such a horrible experience with them in general, I quit the hobby for more than 10 years due to it. My pal there tells me the shows aren't worth the time, even to this day.

Thanks for the replies so far, there's nothing as far as hobby shops in the Panama City area. There are surprisingly used O gauge trains in some of the antique malls but nothing of interest to me.I also have seen some postwar at a local flea market. There's a train shop listed in Pensacola (Trains by Johnson) and in Enterprise,Alabama (High Country Hobbies) that both show stocks of O. I plan on checking them out.

I plan on checking out the meet in Tallahassee and and eye on any TCA train meets.

Thanks!

Ricky

Every March - train show in Foley AL (SWARM-sponsored) - between Mobile and Pensacola, a few miles north of Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, large year-round Hi-Rail layout at city museum

Pensacola train show (sometimes); check with Trains by Johnson (pretty good shop for

the Sunbelt)

Currently no good hobby shop in Mobile (there's Hobbytown and Hobby Lobby for
