This suggestion really has nothing to do with nested posts.  What it would help is a situation where someone posts one or more pictures and someone quotes the post and adds "nice photos."  The people that subsequently read the thread would not have to scroll through the pictures a second time just to read "nice photos."  It would also help should the original poster want to delete some or even all of the photos.  If the photos are also in a quoting post the original poster has to contact the quoting poster or an admin requesting the photos be deleted.

Just to add to this thread; would it be possible to limit the number of pictures allowed to be attached to any given post? There are limits to photos allowed on some other sites, and it seems to work okay.

There is a recent post with 57(!) photos attached; I appreciate the effort, but...

The major problem I see to your post, is that we are only allowed to post one a day in items for sale, Some people list a whole lot of items and most of us in here want to see pictures of said Items for sale, And I do not believe if they wished to limit pics per post they could for certain area and not on the rest.

It is a unfortunate that "Hoopla has no plans to do this."  I know it can be done, I read another forum where it is done.  If people would stop quoting a post with several pictures just to say "Nice Pictures" it would not have even been suggested.  However, it is a common occurrence, especially at this time of year when members post several pictures of Christmas train displays.

Greg,

A little courtesy and common sense would accomplish what you would like to see.  Some of the postings to which you are referring may be attributed to lack of knowledge about how to erase the pictures, others may be attributed to just not caring.  Specific items not mentioned in "Oh, please help me." type listings have  members reading a post concerning a subject about which they may know nothing.
