avatar upload

Where are you seeing "Select File?" I don't think you are in the right place.

The link to upload your avatar is within your profile and says "Upload Your Own Avatar."

it appears after i hit the "upload my own avatar" link

OK...I've got it now.

You should be able to click on "SELECT FILE" link and your computer will open a window where you navigate to the file you want to choose.

If that's not working for you, something is amiss with your web browser. Just email the file to me and I'll take care of it for you.

hi rich , please let me know what email to send to.  my company just gave me a replacement laptop , but i think it was from their bargain basement section of their I.T room. seems to have an old browser version.

As you can see, domer94's Avatar is now up and running.

After many years I finally decided to replace my low-quality avatar from the old forum.  I had a similar problem in that after clicking on "Replace This Avatar" and selecting my new picture, I went back into the forum and found that the old avatar was still there.

Well, I finally "got it" the second time around.  I went back to the Update Your Profile page, clicked on "Replace This Avatar" again and selected the new photo.  Then I found out that after you do that, you have to scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Update Profile" square on the bottom right to actually save the changes.

Looks so much better now.  My old avatar was marginal to begin with, but looked even worse when OGR switched to the new forum.
