Had I known it was to be such a short-term situation, I certainly would have found a way to ride... For the past several weeks, Amtrak's Adirondack between New York's Pennsylvania Station and Montreal was running with a matching set of Budd-built passenger cars leased from VIA Rail Canada. Complete with a Park-Series Dome/Observation!
But now it seems that with the Thanksgiving rush over, Amtrak has sent these two beautiful train-sets back North of the border. I would have LOVED to ride that dome along the shores of the Hudson River and Lake Champlain!
