Saw the layout set up at the Asheville Train Show for the past three seasons and it just keeps getting better and better. This fella Ty Brown is literally 'a one man show' with help from his wife and the layout is spectacular!

Look closely at the little detains and especially at the grasses, flowers, and scenery in general.  If you have a chance to catch it somewhere, make the effort. I believe he's based NE of Charlotte NC and may have a website (hadn't checked) but I think he told me he makes and markets large trees for layouts.

Suggest you click on one of the thumbnails at the bottom and view these full sized.

Thanks Mike.  I'm still trying to get the hang of my iPhone (4s) for taking photos. Some do come out really nice but I don't feel I have a grasp on all of it's potential yet.

This layout has it's own excellent lighting as you can see in this photo. He had heavy duty 'drafting table' lights positioned every 5 - 8 feet from the upper edge of the backdrop completely around the center of the layout. You can see two of them (black lamp on a boom) above the roof. A first class presentation!
