All the engines are stored in the main 990 base, not the CAB2, Turn on the new CAB2 and they will be there. Same applies when you take your CAB2 to a club or friends layout, you will automatically see whatever engines are on the base
1.4 on the base and 1.3 on the CAB 2 is not an issue, but if you have 1.4 for the cab you might was well upgrade it. Remember the 993 base is nothing but a battery charger it stores nothing, you will only need to upgrade the new CAB2 if you decide to.
I was thinking of the 990 set, the 993 expansion sets are more likely to have older software, those haven't "turned over" like the 990 for obvious reasons. Thats great that the locos are stored in the base, another great feature in a looong list of legacy goodies!
I have 1.3 on my base and 1.1 on the expansion set?

See if this helps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP_j-rjLcZE
OK, I'm guilty. I finally read the directions and it works fine. I'm happy but sometimes not too smart!
Thanks for your help.

I have 1.3 not 1.4. How do i get 1.4?
Doug
1.4 is only being shipped with new sets, but really doesn't add anything at this time. It will add some support for the ZW-L when it is released. Once the black modules hit the market you will be able to d/l and install 1.4, but I'd wait for 1.5
Thanks, Chris How's Utah? I lived in Sandy for 4 years in the late 90"s. I used to go to the Train Shop i believe it was on 9th east.
