Can someone with new RMT Ore Cars take a look at this?

John, I can't speak to the new cars but I bought 10 RMT ore cars in PRR livery long ago back when RMT claimed they were going out of business. I liked the cars but not the trucks. No flaws like you have but the uncoupler operation was not impressive and the claws had a bad habit of spontaneously disconnecting on my 036 curves. I eventually switched them all out for MTH and K-Line. I do still have all of the original RMTs and you are welcome to as many as you want. You just have to pay shipping.

Thanks for the offer Scott, but for now I just wanted someone who has the new ones with the updated trucks to confirm that the ones I received have those.  Also, my tightest switch is 048.

Yes, that does look like the new truck design (raised lettering, inner ribs). That one wheel/truck definitely has an issue.

So far, all of the ones we have run and looked at have rolled pretty smooth without any issues. You would have to check with where you purchased them to see about replacement, at a minimum for that one car.
