Fort Meyers used to have a hobby shop near the down town area, however that was about 4 or 5 years ago, I forget the name. Type in Fort Meyers on an internet search engine then type in hobby shops and see what comes up.

Also in November Ft. Meyers usually has a train show that is two days long at a motel in the down town area.

FYI; I live near Wast Palm Beach FL which is on the other side of Florida, the east coast and Ft. Meyers is on the west coast of Florida or 3 hours by car via route 80 from West Palm Beach FL. If you take route 80 from West Palm Beach FL watch the curves or turn-offs in the small towns or you might end up on another highway. From Miami take route 41 over to Naples then I-75 to Ft. Meyers. From Ft. Lauderdale take I-75(old Alligator Alley) east towards Naples and go north at the turn off for Ft. Meyers.

Lee, I was at that hobby shop in 2014. Also cannot recall their name. I could not find my post of the "O" layout they had. It may be gone but at the time they had a lot of K-line.

I did visit a large condo in Ft. Meyer's that had a HO layout shaped like Florida, See here.

I also have friends in West Palm. I visit the train store by the water but they do not have much "O" Sorry I cannot recall all the names.

Yes it is called Metro Trains and not surprisingly it is on Metro Parkway just north of Daniels.  I was happy to find a Lionel 1688 in grey for what I thought was a reasonable price last month. They test their used locomotives.  Most of their inventory is  new, but you never know if you are looking for used items.  Their shop is pristine and they have a nice operating layout.

I have been over to Fort Meyers last year around August or so. Went to the car & Edison museum in Fort Meyers, didn't get to any train shops that time.

The only train shop in Palm Beach County or West Palm Beach FL area is on Lantana Road near the water. The address is 518 Lantana Road. The other train shop on Hypoluxo Road closed his doors about 2 years ago, so that only leaves Jim & his wife, Georgina, to run the Lantana Road hobby shop. They don't have much O gauge train items except for track or in November or December they have more train items in time for the holidays.

I also do business with Ready To Roll in north Miami FL just off I-95 near NW 143rd Street. The guys who run Ready To Roll are very friendly and have a large variety of model train items, even in O gauge.
