I have a framed document that is a Telegraph Register of the Illinois Central Railroad for Thursday July 11, 1895.  The person I got it from said it was from the Casey Jones Special Run.  I thought maybe it was related to his fatal train crash but that didnt happen until April of 1900.  I have a hard time reading some of the handwriting which actually looks like calligraphy to me.  Any one have any insight on why this date would be special?  Did he set some kind of record for speed or time, etc?
