For those of you who may not have attended a WGHOT show, you don't know what your are missing.   Trains, trains and more trains of all shapes and sizes are there for the enjoyment of the entire family.   Bring the kids, grand kids, neighbors, friends, they will have a ball!  The LCCA is committed to being at this show to help introduce the club and Lionel toy trains to a generation that may not have grown up playing with Lionel trains as children.

LCCA member Michael Broggie will be a featured guest speaker making a presentation “Walt Disney’s Railroad Story”   Come and see the new LCCA “Switching Tracks” traveling Boxcar during this event.   The LCCA produced 10 specially made boxcars that will be sent to members who request them.   After two weeks, the member will return the traveling boxcar back to our business office, so it can then be sent to another member.   This program is intended to be a fun event where our members can take photos of this car on their layout or display to share with other members.  Our goal is to send one of these boxcars to a member living in every state of our country and to other countries abroad.

The LCCA team of volunteers will staff a booth adjacent to Lionel's operating layout and display.  We are certain you will enjoy LCCA's Mini-operating layout which was designed and built by TW TrainWorx of Dallas TX. This layout demonstrates what can be done within a very small area.  You don’t have to have a large space to enjoy your Lionel O-Gauge trains.

We may need your help during this weekend train show.  This is a golden opportunity for you to get involved with the club and introduce the Magic of Lionel Trains to thousands of people in just a couple of days. If you and any of your friends are interested in helping out, please call me at 248 709-4137 or stop by the booth and inquire.

Come and see the Lionel display and speak with Lionel personal.  Bring your children or a friend and introduce them to the magic of the train hobby and the camaraderie of the LCCA.   We'll welcome them into the club as new members of "The Best Toy Train Club on the planet"!  We hope to see you there!   We know you will have FUN!

Attended Saturday, big crowd, not a lot of "O" gauge but enough for me to drop some bucks. Good seeing the "big guys" there showing the new stuff. Our area is starved for these types of shows since the LHS are gone. I remember the days we would have a big show once a year in Cincinnati but those days are no more, everything is mostly swap meets. Considering the rich history of railroads in Cincinnati / N Kentucky (Decoursey Yards) there is nothing to stimulate the up and coming young railroaders out there.

The " LCCA Switching Track Traveling Boxcar" traveled to Louisville KY  this weekend on Feb. 14, 2015 for the WGHOT Show.  Here are some photos of this traveling boxcar on a modular layout.  Several members had their photo taken with this boxcar on the LCCA's Mini Layout which was designed and built by TW Design of Dallas TX.  Thank you to all of our LCCA members and guest for stopping by the LCCA display.
