Ken,

If I was able to I would buy a couple of engines at those prices. I like the 44 ton Santa Fe for $75.00.

Currently under employed, almost laid off, so I have to watch every penny I spend, otherwise I would have bought it.

Williams has great quality. The only thing missing in my opinion is some Reading Company passenger cars by Williams.

I did not realize the Williams GP38's had the detail that picture of the Chessie shows.

A quick question for you Ken, as I've not ordered from you guys before, but I get the impression the Columbus Sale discount would be deducted after I submit an order, is that correct?  And would I be notified of my final total by email before the order ships?

Thanks for posting your sale info and for supporting this forum!

Robert

Hey Robert,

That is correct. The Columbus discount will be deducted after you submit the order.  You will get a notification as well. Just remember to write the code word "AMERICA" on page 4 when you check out.  Also feel free to write "As per Ken Bianco Jr. Please send a free Bachmann/Williams Catalog."  We should have a couple of more to give away.  If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.  Thank you for your support.

These are great prices for in-stock items.

Unfortunately, this means that it is difficult to order over the internet, as you have no idea if a item is in stock or not.  I ordered an engine over the weekend, only to get an e-mail this morning that it was not in stock and would be backordered and thus the 10% discount would not apply. Ended up cancelling my order.

So if you are thinking about placing an order today, give them a call and find out what is in stock.

Personally, I'm going back to shopping at the LHS's that keep a real time inventory.

Jim

Hey Chip And Robert,

Unfortunately MTH or Lionel hasn't had much to closeout to the dealers.  But I will be sure to make you guys aware of any deals that are thrown our way!

Jim, Sorry for the inconvenience. We are working on a better inventory solution but it wont be ready till next season. We try our best to keep our inventory up to date but once in a while an item slides through the cracks. Calling to make sure an item is in stock always helps! Hard to manage sometimes with 2 different stores and all the product we carry.

Ken,

No worries.

6 - 8 years ago, when K-Line was still in business, I purchased my MRC transformer and several K-Line items (including a Mikado) from y'all.  At that time, the very first thing I would look at when I got a copy of any of the train magazines were the multiple page ads including yours!

Now, I seem to make a lot of my purchases, including train items, in the evenings.  Glad to hear you have some inventory changes in the works.  I'll make sure to check in on the updates.

Many thanks for being a forum sponsor!

Jim
