Anybody on the forum, have you tried CRC 2-26 on your layout, and also use as a cleaner/lube for wheels/drive rods, etc, etc, etc?

I had a guy send me an email saying it's the best all round, and also helps on electrical connections, as well, when the cleaning is done. I've never even heard of the stuff, I did use their products sometimes when working under the hood so to speak, that is until Blaster came along!...................................Brandy!

For some reason it was preferred in the electrical industry.  May be because of the high flash/boiling point.

Flash Point

192ºF / 89°C TCC Boiling Point (Initial) 435ºF / 224°C

This property would indicate, once applied it's not going to evaporate quickly.

WD-40 MSDS  (Material Safety Data Sheet)  has a lower Boiling Point  and Fire hazard warning.

HMIS Hazard Rating:

Health – 1 (slight hazard), Fire Hazard – 4 (severe hazard), Reactivity – 0 (minimal hazard)

Flash Point:

122F (49°C) Tag Open Cup (concentrate)
