Does anyone know if PS3 sound files can be loaded to PS2 engines or if PS2 files can be loaded to PS3 engines?

PS2 3 volt sound files can be loaded into a PS3 engine. PS3 to PS2 no. Older PS2 5 volt to 5 volt only. I just finished one before I read this post. I am a huge passenger train fan and put passenger sound files into all my locomotives. I just completed a PS2 E-8 file into my new PS3 CP GP-9. My railroad, my sounds. I have done several PS2 into PS3 locomotive file transfers.
