I keep my freight cars shorter because of my 0-36 and 0-48 curves (an idea suggested here)and the visual effect is good. I have looked at some US Army flatcars and boxcars here to buy one but they are 50-53 scale feet in length.
Does anybody know if any manufacturer makes a (scale) 40' US Army boxcar? (something equivalent to an Atlas Trainman)

Atlas made a USRA double sheathed boxcar marked U.S.A. Not sure if that stands for US Army or not, but it's a beautifully detailed scale-size car.
Lionel Standard O Box Car 6-17265 U.S. Army MSRP $59.95 out of the 2000 vol 1 catolog. Single Door, army green, white lettering, transportation crops emblem.
RMT has a set of Army missile flat cars, two road numbers, base on the old Marx's tooling. MSRP $99.99, but RMT has been running a 50% sale, so a friend got his for 50 bucks plus shipping.
