Does the Atlas O thumbtack uncoupler annoy you?

I am far from a purist or a fidelity fanatic, but the thumbtack uncoupler on the Atlas O rolling stock is real a eyesore...right?

Isn't strange that a company that clearly pays so much attention to detail utilize such an unattractive uncoupler?

Is there any reason that they do not employ a hidden uncoupler like Lionel or MTH? What am I missing?
