Has anyone double headed a proto 2 and a proto 3 locomotive under conventional control? I often double head proto 2 steamers and I was wondering if there would be a syncing up problem between the 2 versions.
My experience has been with 2 Proto2 engines and I would not expect any differences if it were proto2 and proto3. In my situation, under conventional operation, they could not be double headered because of differences in speed that disappeared once they were addressed via DCS. DCS well behaved operations does not indicate that they will run nicely in conventional.
