I used composite lawn edging for my fascia along the layout bottom. It is easily affixed with two 1 inch screws per stud. The edging is 3.5 inches wide and fits the end of a 2 x 4 perfectly. I am building a layout similar to Jim's wonderful Pinnacle Peaks. More pics to follow as progress unfolds.

Hey, it's composite yard edging material @ Lowe's. it comes in a 20 foot roll & was $20. I forgot the actual name but any lawn edging will work. The brand I am using also has a wood grain effect scribed on it so it will gave a nice texture when painted.

My Dad used the galvanized metal lawn edging on my layout 54 years ago.
