Occasionally people mention using custom FasTrack pieces on their layouts. Making custom track lengths from tradional tubular track is a fairly simple and easy process of cutting the track and inserting pins but what about FasTrack with its plastic roadbed and special end "joints"? What have you found to be the best way of making custom lengths of FasTrack? Do you cut the unneeded length from the center of a complete factory section and than abutt and glue the two cut ends together thus leaving intact and in place the two "joiner" ends? I want to hear from you if you've ever made custom lengths of FasTrack and what you've discovered is the best way of making them.

Thanks,
