Well, it's been over two years since I've posted anything on this forum, and after this one, I don't plan on posting anymore. However, instead of just turning off notifications and pretending this account never existed, I figured I'd take a quick moment to reflect on my history on this forum and give one update on my most recent restoration project for the folks who are interested.

To start off, yes, I'm still alive, I'm still involved with the 765, and a few other engines as well, and most importantly I'm still learning. Looking back at my older posts is honestly quite embarrassing in certain ways. Some of them almost paint a perfect picture of the whole "Young & Dumb" idea. But besides that, I really want to thank all the people who saw past that and kept me going. You know who you are.

In conclusion though, I'm still heavily involved in steam, and plan on staying involved, I recently started a new non railroad related job that I really enjoy so far, and I'm doing just fine for anybody concerned.

On to the brief restoration update:

This time of year also marks the one year anniversary of when I started my first decently big project: an operational restoration of a Fairmont M19 Motorcar. The project started out with an M19 that a buddy of mine owned and didn't have any plans for. He wrote it off to me and it needed a lot of work. There were many parts that were missing (Including the engine) that I had to track down, and thanks to many generous people, I was able to find all of them, and I'm very pleased to say that the car runs flawlessly. The whole project will be coming to a close shortly as soon as windows and curtains are installed.

Once again, a big thank you to everyone who put up with me.

Brody Brown
