Finally moving up in the world of model railroading - literally and figuratively.  After years of a temporary layout on the floor, I've started fabricating and assembling benchwork and building a permanent layout using GarGraves track and switches.  May move to Ross switches, but my local train store is a GarGraves dealer and I can buy locally.

The outside loops is a modified dog bone, 24 feet long and 84 inches wide at the widest spot and 60 inches at the narrowest.  Could go wider, but wanted to be able to walk around the entire table.

Attached is a layout using AnyRail that shows concentric loops and a very rough plan for a small yard on the southeast corner basically to see what can fit in the space.  The data file has been included.

Not looking to build an intricate operating railroad, but long loops surrounding a downtown area and small industrial area with  sidings servicing some warehouses, freight stations, and similar types of businesses.

IF possible, I'd like to have a reversing loop on the inside loop and long sidings on both loops capable of  holding a small train.  My biggest concern is trying to do too much.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Table legs are 36 inches tall so by the time I get plywood, foam board on top it'll be almost 40 inches.  The pictures of the shelves were taken earlier.  Since then, I cut them down so there will be more space between the table top and the shelves.  My electrical panel is on the wall to the right in the corner.  I really don't have any choice but to have access to it should there be an emergency.  I do have another foot or so on the left should I need to go that way.
