Over a year ago I picked up 6 MTH PRR woodside passenger cars . A baggage. combine and 4 coaches I thought there was an observation. Well I decided to make a observation out of one of the coaches. The first shows the railing I added to the car and the marker lights .I did that the day after I got the cars. Today I added the rest so now it is finished. Didn't turn out to bad. I don't have a factory one to compare it to. I am happy with it.

Excellent job! Looks like a factory job to me.
Nice work. From what did you make the awning?
Thom, you did a super job. Take it from someone who loves passenger cars.
The awning was one that I had not sure who made it. I cut it to fit. My wife made the strips on sticker paper I covered the plastic.
Very nice job

When I first clicked on this post, I thought the picture was of the car out of the box.
As always, great job, Thom!!!
Where do you get marker lights like that? I couldn't find any on eBay except for old Lionel and MTH replacement single color ones.
Nice job. Got what you wanted and I think it looks very good.
Perhaps some folks in China will be calling to see if you will come work in their factory??
Well done!

Wonderfully colorful bunting. Solves what to do with a few of my dull old heavyweight observations. Candy Stripe. Thanks!

Thom,
Nice job. I think Keith asked, where did you find the market lights?
Tom
great job!
Very nice work.
Not sure where the marker lights are from. They were in my parts drawers. All that stuff that I have and hope to use some day .Drawers full of stuff I am sure some of it I will never use but glad its there just in case.
Very nice work.
Looks great! Very nice work.
DOC,
First Class, all the way! Isn't it something how "we" in the toy train world put so much value in the end of a train? Look up the lowly caboose and then the observation car. Which came onto the scene last and was the first to leave? Don't misunderstand me, I like passenger trains as much as everyone else.
Tomar may have marker lights of this sort.
