Hi Marty - nothing wrong with that hat.

There is some good 1:1 train watching with the Framingham station adjoining the CSX yard r ight in town. There is a cool snow plow stored on site and always some interesting cuts of cars in the yard. Also, the Lakeshore Limited goes by on it's final miles back to Boston around 7:30 each night (if on time). 12:25 in the afternoon coming out of Boston towards Chicago.

For model trains Charles Ro is a good suggestion.

Enjoy.

Paul

I agree with eddie g and Paul, Charles Ro is a great store.  Malden, MA is a little bit of a drive from Framingham when you factor in Boston-area traffic, but well worth it!  Unfortunately, there really aren't any train shops right around Framingham, or in the "metro-west" area for that matter...at least not O-gauge/scale shops anyway.  Makes me miss my home state of PA where it seemed like there were good train shops everywhere!
