Best is subjective and, as you know, Opinions vary.

 

It's free, it works, not to difficult to learn, you can load it to a flash drive and run it on any Windows computer. It does not install into any part of the OS. very small in space used, very small layout files(even large layouts).

 

Help files on the website and blog or ask here. There are multiple users.

 

If you want to plan a layout accurately and get your feet wet with layout design software, then this is the one. Did I mention it doesn't require a financial transaction?

 

When you find a feature that you need isn't there or a track library isn't there, then spend some cash on RR-Track.

 

I have to use a work-around for designing modules for a modular layout. There are tracks I'd like to have, but can work around. So, for me it's still the best.

nice design!  great for the small spcae and lots going on.  I haven't had alot of time to mess with the Scarm.  Originally Posted by Jhainer:
