WOW, maybe Lee will build us one of these !!!
An "atomic" train!?
Wow, very cool stuff....thanks for the link.
Interesting to see the kind of capex the PRR and NYC were putting into new equipment in the late '40's / early '50's. The one ad notes NYC spent $96,000,000 on new passenger equipment and engines to pull them. PRR notes in an ad they have spent $212,000,000 on new diesel engines. Both figures were a heck of a lot of money back then! The PRR expenditure alone would amount to close to $1.8 billion in 2014 dollars.

This is great! Thank you! Has anyone been able to save selected individual pictures in to the Windows picture file. Tried, but no success.
Wow, these are really great ads - most of which I had not seen before. I'm glad that they were readable when you clicked on them. I particularly like the ones with military themes, the Hiawatha ads, and the CP ones. Thanks for sharing the link.
Most excellent! What a treat for a passenger train junkie like your's truly ! If I had to pick a favorite from all the stuff on display...It would be the PRR Working Partners ad. B&O Christmas card is second, but really ...they all are classic. Thanks for the post !
Quick Casey,
Thank you for bringing back fond memories.
