From an old co-worker of mine.
He called last month asking about what would be a good G-scale train set to give his wife for Christmas. I've been looking myself for a year or so (talk about not pulling the trigger 
) and I immediately pointed him towards the Bachmann White Pass & Yukon set. I told him the set has the "Anniversary" engine, the one with metal siderods, etc. and great track.
He called me to say his wife L-O-V-E-D her present.
Last year he had bought one of the battery-powered sets and took it right back as the quality just wasn't there.
I told him I'd be happy to come by and help him set it up, hopefully I'll be getting one of these in the near future 
That phone call made me happy and thankful for friends like them.
Has anyone else got this set? Is there anything I can pass onto them?
