Does anyone have any experience hard wiring a network router to a WIU using ethernet cables? The intention here is to somehow being able to control a DCS setup using a smart device operating on the 5GHz band to avoid the crowded 2.4GHz band usually found at train shows.

Some may say that this idea is unecessary, they may be right, but I'd rather take a pre-emptive strike on the issue rather than find out at a show I can't control my layout.

As always, thanks for your time and help,

Dan

My son created that article to help me understand the setup.
