I am pretty sure Marce has given up her business of making custom figures but today I received a no doubt bogus email from "Marce Urbanski" that she had been visiting the Ukraine and lost her wallet and can I help her out. She only needs $2,250.00.

Just curious if anyone else has gotten one of these?

I do miss the fact that she had to close down in any event.

Hey Pete,

I too got the same email as you from "Marce Urbanski."  At first I thought she was related to a friend of my wife named Debby Urbanski, but after reading the email all the way I figured she was a scam artist.

Don't ever fall for that.  It's the oldest piece of garbage on the net.

Those figures really look good.

So, now I am really curious.  How did she create the figures?  From scratch, or modify existing figures?  What material did she work with?

Bob,

Some figures are used as they come off the shelf but custom painted so that the clothes are recognizable.  Marce told me the most important feature to match is the face so she starts with face and body size.

I also know that she has hacked up several figures just to make one.

They are all plastic figures.

Boy I miss her business!!!  And yes, she was a 'peach' as stated above.

Here are 2 good examples of how she matches the clothing on the model figures to pictures that I send to her.

The first one is my son, his wife, and 2 kids.  I laid the figures on the picture that I sent to Marce and then took this picture.

The second is my brother, his wife, and 2 daughters.  Again, I laid the figures on the picture that I sent to her to show how well she matches things.
