For being a simple accessory, this one ranks near the top of difficult to repair. It is extremely difficult to get the hook of the spring in the hole of the actuating arm. It is in a very awkward position and place. I can't offer any real help, use long nose needle nose pliers and try again.....and try again......and try again. You will eventually get it.

And so I shall - I'm about ready to head up to the train room again after a month off to recover from hip surgery - getting antsy!!!

Thanks Chuck!

Carefully tap the axel through the housing.  This released the rocker.  Piece the assembly together, slide it into the housing, then replace the axel.  I have done this several times but be careful not to damage the housing.  I place it across my vice with the opening just as wile as the axel to avoid breaking the housing.

Thanks @Scotten I'll give that a try tomorrow. As for the delay in replying, I just now saw your email - that's how far behind I am!

How did that work out for you? I am about to try to take one apart .... and hopefully re-assemble it, Any trouble with the wire? If the factory assembled it...we should be able to also. Thanks for the tip Scotten.
