Hi Everyone, I own the Lionel Milwaukee Road F7AA set  6-38717, Powered B unit 6-38720 and Non-Powered B unit 6-38721 all from the 2012 Signature Edition. On my AA set, both of the front couplers are supposed to work with TMCC/Legcy, neither do. The rear coupler on the powered B unit activates whenever it feels like it but not when I use the remote. I have the engines set up as an ABBA multiple unit train in this sequence; power A, power B, dummy b and dummy A. I don't remember if the couplers ever worked by CAB1 or CAB2. I am going to re-program the two A units and the powered B unit. I also want to re-program my ABBA multiple unit set up. When I redo everything can I use the same train 1 command or do I need to re-name the train command to TR2  or higher? Any other suggestions?

I have two F unit Legacy ABBA sets. Milwaukee and Rio Grande. Both power B units uncouple randomly. One is at lionel now. Most of the couplers with both sets were extremely sticky and hard to close. I used graphite lube and pushed closed and used cab2 to open many many times before they started to work fairly decently.

I am not sure what you mean by train 1 etc… question But what I did was to give each unit a separate ID # then use the  "build" train function. Then I give the whole consist a separate "train #" to address the 4 unit consist. Make sure all units are oriented in the correct direction when they are on the track and in the "build" function on the cab2. When I do it this way and address the "train" id and the rear coupler button on the cab2 the front coupler on the last dummy A unit opens because its considered the end of the 4 unit consist.

On my Milwaukee rd ABBA if I keep slightly below the Legacy "Normal" speed the B unit won't uncouple. If you have jerky operation at slow speeds your brake detail is rubbing your traction tires. Hope this helps
