Hi all question about steam engine PS 3 train issue? i was told that sometimes if you run PS 3 engines in conventional mode then when you switch back to DCS it might not work and this comes from a ASC tech who has had the mth repair course and sell mth products.
He does repairs as well in many other manufacture also!
Has anyone come across this Issue?

It will work just fine but you may have to do a conventional reset to unlock the reverse unit. Some (maybe all) PS3s had/have an issue where they are locked into reverse, forward, or neutral when going from DCS to Conventional.

Only if you break it while operating in conventional mode.

I never intentionally run MTH locos in conventional. But I did have a PS3 lock into reverse---don't know why---and a conventional reset was required to correct it. Note this is not a feature or factory reset. It cannot be done from the remote or if a TIU signal is present.
