are there any hotels/ motels in roanoke va. (not including the hotel roanoke) that is near (where you can actually see the trains) norfolk southern main lines......................rogerw.

hey davejfr0, that is the hotel roanoke. i know about that particular hotel. i was wondering were there any others besides the hotel roanoke....................rogerw.

I live in Roanoke and it is unfortunate that there is not another Hotel close to the tracks main line and walking distance to the transportation museum and the O. Winston Link museum except the Hotel Roanoke at this time and what other little motels that are about a mile away, I would not advise staying in those particular motels. There is talk of another company building a Hampton Inn, but that would not solve your problem.
I hope you come to Roanoke, it is a great little town known as "The Star City of the South".
