How similar are the Challenger, Big Boy, and FEF-3 tenders?

I know they all look very similar, but are the three interchangable? Can the UP steam shop use 3985's tender for 4014? I know 4014's tender needs quite a bit of work to convert it to oil.

Just from memory, the 3900s and 4000s have essentially the same tender. The 844 tender is different. Concerning the conversion to oil burning, the biggest job is converting the locomotive firebox, not the tender.
