How to fill in the gap on realtrax when you need 1" the 042 switches are 11" I have all the sizes of straight track and can't make it work.

Lionel pins dont fit because they're round and realtrax is a flat top 'T'. Gargraves pins on the other hand, will fit in the realtrax rails, but they're a little loose vertically. Horizontally, they fit very snug. If you put the pins in and screw down both sides of the gap, you shouldnt have any problems as long as you get it lined up right first.
I've never tried it, but I'd bet atlas joiners would also work.
You almost had me with the expander paste, until I hear the April 1 called out at the end.
