Not sure if Craig Miller is part of this forum, but a big thanks for making this gem available. It was made by Seki (Sakai) in prewar Japan, early to mid 30's. These is no tender, but making a brass one seems doable. It is a fairly simple wagon top looking tender. Cool and unusual looking engine.

That's a rather unusual engine. I would have thought it would have only been 4 drive wheels being from that time frame. Does that mean Seki beat Lionel to a 6 wheel drive engine? Perhaps this engine led Lionel to develop the 1668 Torpedo?

 

Thanks for posting this; I have never seen this engine before, nor have I heard of Seki. (I own one tank car from Sakai)
