I had my girls decorate a couple of loco shells back in July, and now the Christmas Unicorn Express is making it's rounds around our little tree!

I used a leftover piece of plywood from my dad's childhood layout and cut a 36 inch circle. And I happened to have a circle of MTH realtrax that came with a RTR set I bought 20 years ago.

I also converted a junker Lionel Christmas boxcar to an audio car with an MTH proto-freight Santa Claus card that plays carols and says HO-HO-HO and all that!

I know it's not much, but it's brought a little bit of extra cheer to the whole family this year. Merry Christmas OGR!

Jeff, I am totally with you!!!    First of all, I had never even heard of a narwhal until one of our daughters brought it to our attention a few years ago.  Even at that, I thought they were not real because all both daughters showed us were drawings on garments, etc.  Finally, it was only recently that I become aware they are real animals.

The elf with the remote looks great!!!

@palallin: I don't know about you, but I tend to be skeptical of things I read on the internet.  For example, a poster on this very board not long ago referred to this:

As a "boilerplate".  Imagine!  Then he posted this image:

That's clearly not a real thing, right?  A plate on the front of a boiler?  Get outta here!

What exactly is a "National Geographic" anyway? Sounds like made up stuff to me.

Bottom line is there is no way this

is a real animal, and I am really going to be sad for my girls when they come to grips with that.
