That other post about the wooden trolley conversion reminded me about a wooden floor train I have.  I picked it up in a RailRoad Museum near Ventura, CA back around 1998 or 1999.  It's a wooden floor train with the initials STC on it.  Everytime I search for info on it I come up short.  Is anyone familiar with this, who made it, and what the STC stands for?

after searching a bit more, i have a feeling sets were pretty basic.  your pictures show their diesel locomotive, maybe an express reefer, and passenger cars, +?.  here is a steam freight set i found...

SeaverToyCo. freight
locomotive, tender, maybe now a boxcar and caboose.
and some other wooden toys...

SeaverToyCo. firetruck
a firetruck

SeaverToyCo. crane
and a crane.

this was likely a very small business; perhaps just a family.

fun stuff.
cheers...gary
