Not sure if this is for the Layouts section or the Electrical section or both.

I am looking at interconnecting two Fastrack starter sets.  Each will run off its own wallwart power pack.  Do I need to isolate them from each other?

In the partial layout diagram below, the Yellow and the White are the two starter sets.  The red track section is the Fastrack 1-3/8 that has the jumper for the center rail.

- If I need to isolate them, will removing the jumper suffice?

- If the jumper is removed, will the trains stop there or pass through on momentum?

- Does that create a problem for the steam engines where the tender is still on one loop and the engine on another?

Thanks for any advice,

Walt
