I can only find one from the 2004 Catalog, but as the unit was cancelled, it is just a normal Diesel freight sound file. I'm looking for something like the rudolph sound file in steam
Thx

There probably is a Christmas sound file with some of the basic entry sets.2-8-0s etc
unfortunately we have no way of knowing unless we download the sound set.
Another option is is to use a MP3 player or equivalent and use the pro0cast feature of DCS.
Here is my MTH PS2 Rudolph Set w/ announcements that came with the engine
Too bad there's no link to download the sound file...
Thanks Todd, I may load this into something around the tree, even without the fancy paint job!
Sounded cool on the video.
Todd,
A while back I looked and could not find one either, maybe they have one now,
I have not seen one however.

Here's a GP-9 Christmas Diesel. Looks to be a 3 volt file. I haven't tried it nor the Brill trolley. Let us know if you try these.
After a second look this is most likely the file you already tried. Oops.
How about this Standard Gauge No.10 Electric set. 3 volt file has xmas as part of the sound file name.
Thanks all,
I tried the Christmas GP9 Diesel file, before posting. It has no unique Christmas sound (It was cancelled, so maybe a real file was never written).
Great idea, I will try the tin electric tomorrow night, if MTH can't recommend a diesel file.
I clicked on the Product Locator tab on MTH's Website and typed in Christmas. This gave me 20+ pages of Christmas related products. There were quite a few steam sets but only one Electric and one Diesel. These are the ones posted above.
Any luck with the sound file yet?
Todd, All. The Tinplate file would. I guess it makes sense as the wheel Diameter is related to the speed, so maybe different models can't share that part of the file?
Speed would only be an issue if you are going to run this engine in a lashup.
Marty,
I guess it makes sense as the wheel Diameter is related to the speed, so maybe different models can't share that part of the file?
All 5 volt sound files will load into all 5 volt PS2 engines and all 3 volt sound files will load into all 3 volt engines.
However, if the drivers size or gear ratio is different, the speed will be different from the SMPH reading on the remote.
I have a touchpad on this laptop that every time I bump it the cursor moves. I meant to type the tinplate wouldn't load. The tracks are full now and while I am sure I must be making a mistake, per Barrys comment on all being good, I got an error when I tried to load the 3V rudolph sound file into a diesel (by mistake). I got the same error with the tin file. I have called a few times, but haven''t gotten through. I will call until I catch a person. Is there someone other than Midge, I should be looking for?
Unless you're looking for parts, Midge is the wrong person to call. Sounds like you're looking for some tech support.
