I have a issue with the sensor track sensor in the tender, When I received the loco I found it not working I tested the loco with my tender from my cc2s and it activated the bell when it ran over the sensor track. I ordered a replacement sensor and board I replaced the sensor when I plugged in the board it started smoking I stopped and unplugged it , I plugged in the old board and no smoke I ordered another board before I fry this one can anyone tell me what's happening

Well, since the original is dead, and the new one goes up in smoke, my guess is that there's something either wired wrong or shorted in the tender. Here's an excellent wiring diagram created by Bruk Bannister for the tender wiring. I'd verify all of the wiring is good and that there are no shorted or pinched wires. Click on the diagram for a full sized picture. If you can't see the detail, I've also attached Bruk's whole document, this is one of the pages in it.

thanks john I think there maybe a pinched wire somewhere, I don't see any wires either pinched or broken but there is a few running under the mother board I will check tonight
I added the whole document to my post as well.

john could the mother board cause this problem? it was the chip on the board that burned through the shrink tube
Pretty remote possibility, but I suppose it's somewhat possible. Does the motherboard have any visible flaws?
