Yesterday I saw this NS westbound intermodal 23K with 5 NS units. Anyway, I didn't realize, that when I started recording you can hear the birds chirping, the sound of silence and then a train horn. Well I thought it came out so good with the sound, it reminds me of the type of audio I could put on CD for train sounds.

Love your videos Tom
Thx
Great video! Great sounding horn, at track speed .. was a pleasure to watch! Thanks for posting!
Nice video. Wouldn't want to race that baby to a crossing !!
That sound was worthy of connecting my good headphones to my laptop! One suggestion, if you ever get the opportunity to get something like that again, let the camera run for another 10 seconds or so. The peaceful nature sounds, then the train audio, back to the peaceful nature sounds would be a cool effect in my opinion.
One thing about where I live in NJ, I never see freight moving like that.
Thank you for sharing, I always enjoy your videos.

Thank you to everyone who replied. Jim your right about that. And Tony, if I get this spot again for a train coming, I'll be sure to let the camera run and extra 10 to 15 seconds to get the sound back to the birds or nature sounds. But what's funny, if you go just on the other side of the building behind me, is Route 615 with lots of vehicle traffic and also businesses with lots of sounds. So this spot has no city sounds. Only issue is, it's sometimes is difficult to catch westbound intermodals in the morning after 9AM because their usually earlier then that. But the westbounds that do go through Mentor on NS is NS 23K, 205, 309, 149, 287, etc.
Well as you would say, I got another video from this spot, but for some reason, the sound cut out for a few seconds after the train passed.
