Smoke unit will not work. Has new wick and not blocking hole fan does. Could the battery be the problem. It is for the big boy they made around 2000 not scale it is o27 thanks and merry Christmas

The battery does not affect the smoke unit.
I don't believe they are fan driven smoke units. They are fairly basic. Do you know if you are getting power to the smoke unit?
I have one of these Big Boys. The smoke unit in mine shorted out, so it is shut off.
This is the right unit I believe... need to order one....

Did you make sure to turn the switch on for smoke? It's under the cab (one side is the RUN/PROG switch and the other is smoke.
Don't know if getting power to the unit I do know fan does spin does that mean getting power to the burner if that is what's in the wick thanks for your help

How many wires go directly to the smoke unit? The fan may be separately controlled for chuffs, in which case you could have a triac on the R2LC, wiring issues, or a bad resistor.
Try measuring AC and DC voltage directly across the smoke resistor with the smoke unit on. Tell us what you see.
