I am trying to order track for a oval with a diameter of 30 feet the straight sides are 12 feet apart. Does any know what I need to order. I can be very flexible on the ends, but the straight track has to be 12 ft apart

Is the room 12 feet by 30 feet, or do you need a 12 foot open space in the middle?
Get the 4 corners set and fill in with straights?
Ah. 12x30 area you want to fill with an oval. With that kind of space, you'd be best served with an "around-the-walls" approach, maybe with some peninsulas into the interior. You might want to start with something like this enlarged from H.O. to O scale by doubling the dimensions and adding extensions:
The O scale version of this would be 16x18, but the ends could be narrowed and the sides extended to fit the room dimensions. The beauty of this approach is you have plenty of run length without creating reach problems as the shelves are only two feet deep. The O scale equivalent curves would be roughly 49.5"/54" radius (O-99/O-108 Atlas) and use #5 Atlas turnouts. It could (should) all be done with flex. Off your 30-foot sides, you could put in a peninsula for a yard, industries, or just to break things up.
Hope this helps.

One thing we need to know for this: What track do you want to use?
It makes a big difference.
