Big_Boy.... I have'nt a clue as to were to start. We downsized, have grand kids toys in every corner, and old Lionel O gauge and some old .027 track and switches laying around. Elliot gave me some kind, sage advise "Use Lots of switches, and Diesels". If you have been following his layout progress "Dream - Nightmare", it has been quite a successful journey. Heck I dont even have a "FAVORITE" railroad that I really, really love. Now that I have a fantastic staring point, it's time to "THINK" about a teeny, tiny layout. Perhaps something that can be pieced together with a few static pieces like an elevated section, and for straight 30" strips with switches, but as you can see, I really really just love the "wow, papa TRAIN!" starting point the best.
