Just got my PS 3 version of the O gauge tin girls freight yesterday. Had to tweak a few couplers but otherwise, very nice.

How have the tether less draw bars held up? Sure like not having that giant black snake in there, but curious how the set will hold up after  many hook ups and take aparts.

Getting the modules checked out for two weekends in a row of operation so now was a good time to check it out. Notice half way through the video the tenders rear truck derails. Oiled the pivot points and it seemed Ok after that. Two couplers were a little high and had to be bent down 1/16".

The tetherless drawbars have held up well, thus far, on the several PS3 tinplate trains I have.  However, I had not connected/disconnected them a good number of times since I got them.  I generally leave them connected and pick up/move both the engine and tender together if I'm taking them off the track or putting them on the track (fairly easy to do with O gauge size; probably not so easy in the case of Std. Gauge).

I noticed a good amount of headlight flicker in the video.  Could be that cleaning the track would clear that up, along with a drop of oil at the ends of the pickup axles.

A very unusual set in a very good way. Would be tough to categorize it as exactly a reproduction or a new creation in of itself..but more importantly, who cares? Looks great at a slower pace (as you shot it) with a good view of the reciprocating rods. The pastels stand out from the bright colors of your average tinplate.

Don't forget the blue one for the future grandson (unless you already have a grandson)!

The pink girls set and the blue boys set are definitely my favorite tinplate sets by far.  Colors they used really go well together, IMO. Very nice sets. (Unfortunately my granddaughter & grandson don't agree.) If only I could afford them, I would have 1 set of each color, maybe even in both Standard & O gauges.

Steve, thanks for posting the video!
