Hello,

I have the Lionel Legacy 119 and Jupiter that came out this past summer. I am trying to run them with the Bluetooth app, but am having difficulty. I have applied power to the track and when I go into the app, it says there are no available engines.

Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alright.  I am convinced after reviewing some other sources this is Legacy, Conventional, and DCC only.  I could be wrong but cannot find anything to state otherwise except your box so we'll have to see if someone else that own one will chime in.  As far as sounds go, the manual states no Bell or Whistle in conventional so I'm not sure if that is what you are referring to.

Just for the record, in the 2019 volume 2 , it does not indicate that they are BT equipped. There’s the answer. Sorry to be the one giving you the bad news. The catalog description doesn’t show that feature on the pages anywhere. They are simply beautifully made Locomotives. There was just enough room for the legacy control, Happy Railroading Everyone

Well when the box and orange serial number sticker both have the Bluetooth labels on them the OP has every right to wonder.

I’ve read the manual that comes with the engine cover to cover. It’s not very descriptive.

The manual actually does a pretty good job explaining the sound requirements. When I was researching the Bluetooth issue it seemed to cover the engine and sound car well IMO.

The manual that came with the engine appears to be different than the one online, but that is neither here nor there.

I saw that, but there are also commonly errors in the catalog. For instance, the 2021 Big Book catalog online has a $200 difference in price for the John Bull set than what is advertised in my hard copy.
