Lately when I go to turn on the Cab2 I get a message "Base not found", I the press "retry" and I get the message "unamed base".
Batteries are fully charged. Potential problem here?

Nope, you're just not letting the base initialize before you try to turn the CAB2 on. It takes it a few seconds to "get it's mind right" before it will connect to the CAB2.
The "unnamed base" simply indicates you haven't assigned a name to the command base.
How fast are you trying to access the base after power up? There is a short time as the base boots up before the Cab2 will see it causing what you describe.
Also is your base named? If not it's most likely the un-named base.
