We've been getting some odd behavior on some Legacy engines. The engines will suddenly reverse direction without any input on the remote. We're running TMCC, Legacy, and DCS (5 TIU's) under WiFi and remotes. Anyone else experience this phenomenon?

Matt, I work on Legacy engines and never see that. Seems like you may have something with the layout. Have you taken those engines to another Legacy layout and tried them?

Thanks Marty. That's my suspicion, but we haven't found anything unusual. What's even more unusual is that it seems to happen after about 1 1/2 hours of engine time. It's happened on only three engines so far. Trying to see if anyone else experienced that.
Thanks again Marty. I just found out there's a Legacy IR sensor control still installed in the layout. It may be malfunctioning and we just disconnected it.
You may have it. Will we see you at York in April Matt?
It was indeed the IR sensor. It had lost its programming (ring the bell for 10 seconds). Apparently there's a default condition that stops and reverses the IR-equipped locomotive at a certain time interval after passing the sensor. We'll see if re-programming holds when we reconnect it.
Won't be at York this year. Got too much stuff stacked up.
