Thanks Marty. That's my suspicion, but we haven't found anything unusual. What's even more unusual is that it seems to happen after about 1 1/2 hours of engine time. It's happened on only three engines so far. Trying to see if anyone else experienced that.

It was indeed the IR sensor. It had lost its programming (ring the bell for 10 seconds). Apparently there's a default condition that stops and reverses the IR-equipped locomotive at a certain time interval after passing the sensor. We'll see if re-programming holds when we reconnect it.

Won't be at York this year. Got too much stuff stacked up.
